Meet Kim Ware, Consulting Associate!

May 24, 2022

We are so excited to welcome Kimberli Ware as our new Consulting Associate. Kim will be offering training, consulting and coaching in Leadership Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Educational Management, as well as other topics for individuals, non-profits and corporations.

We sat down with Kim to chat about her new position, and what she plans to bring to her new role.

So what brought you to LaunchPoint Leadership Group?

"A candid conversation with Ronna-Renee at a Hutchison School parent meeting led to a lunch date and several additional conversations over food thereafter. We connected around education and
leadership coaching as well as a rare brain disease that both her mom and my mother-in-law died from.
As our relationship authentically began to grow, so did conversations specific to work
and work life balance.
I reached out to her regarding my needing some back office support and that ask led to a
full brain dump of ways that we might benefit from working together. And now......here we are! "

What is your philosophy of and approach to leadership?

"My goal in working with my clients is to maximize their gifts and talents. To help them
lean into their strengths and break down barriers that get in the way of their success. I find ways
to help my clients grow, no matter the level of leadership."

Can you give us a little background on your career so far?

"Prior to joining Launch Point Leadership Group, I was a principal with Ware Consulting, a Memphis based boutique firm. My first love will always be education. I taught marketing and business management for 7 years in both public and private schools. I also oversaw the development and implementation of middle and high school leadership programming that equipped young people with skill sets that would prepare them for life after college."

What do you think you bring to your clients?

"I bring my authentic and whole self to every client interaction. I bring a myriad of life experiences including several experiences of sudden loss that have equipped me with a wisdom and ability to listen, empathize and honor my clients’ background, knowledge and know -how in a way that feels safe, non judgemental and supportive."

What kind of work do you most enjoy and why?

"I most enjoy interacting with people who are working and existing in a space and manner that honors the essence of who they are. I enjoy working from a blank canvas and having the opportunity to create from nothing."

Who do you most admire and why?

"My mom. We lost my father and her husband and high school sweetheart of 40 years suddenly in 2013. To watch my mom continue to breath in and out and put one foot in front of the other despite the agony, trauma, grief and despair that showed up at her door one sunny Monday morning has shaped my adult existence in a way that I can't find words to adequately articulate. She is my hero and I will live the rest of my days honoring all that she is and has always been to me and my family."

 Favorite current book?

"I am currently reading Viola Davis new book “Finding Me”.  And one of my
fave books is Michelle Obamas “Becoming”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

"I love to work out, specifically tabata and HIIT training. I love a good explosive burn that wakes me up and gets me fired up for the day. I also absolutely love time with my family and friends. A day of eating, hanging and laughing feeds my soul!"
